Tree trimming and pruning: why is it important?

Tree trimming and pruning: why is it important?

Tree trimming and pruning: why is it important? As anyone will tell you, it’s always nice to have trees in your garden. Whether they are deciduous (when their leaves fall off in the fall) or evergreen (when their foliage lasts all year long), they make for great decor. However, they are no different than your other plants in that you need to take good care of them. With this in mind, it is important to prune your trees during appropriate periods. By the way, in case you didn’t know, pruning simply means getting rid of unwanted branches from a tree.

Pruning a tree? Why do it?

It is always interesting to observe the growth of your trees. That said, it is important to keep an eye on this growth, because if it becomes too large, it may cause inconvenience not only to you, but also to others. It is for this reason that regulations have been put in place. Indeed, branches that are too long can potentially fall on people or vehicles. They can also obstruct traffic lanes, block your field of vision or that of your neighbors. Or they can disrupt the Internet and telephone network. It is also problematic if your branches reach electrical cables!

You should know that according to the regulations in force, you are required to prune your trees as soon as their branches overhang your neighbor’s property. This also applies to public parks. However, your neighbor does not have the right to cut them. On the other hand, he can sue you if you are the owner! You should also know that in the case of a rental property, the costs of pruning are the responsibility of the tenant.

Pruning: period, frequency and means
When to prune?

First of all, remember this: never prune your trees during sap flow periods. This period can be identified by the fall or the budding of the leaves. Indeed, this can be harmful to them. It is also important to avoid periods of extreme heat.

It is often recommended to prune in winter. At that time, trees enter a vegetative rest period. Therefore, there is no risk of losing their natural reserves. Also, the bark is less likely to tear. There is one concern, however: because the trees are at rest, they won’t be able to heal right away… which means they may attract fungus and untoward diseases.

pruning and trimming

To avoid these inconveniences, you can prune in mid-spring: healing will then be assured and your trees will be able to protect themselves against external aggressions. That said, the maintenance becomes more consequent, because the number of leaves to be evacuated inevitably increases because of the spring.

In any case, you should know that depending on the species of your trees, different periods are recommended (you can use a comparative table like the one on Ooreka).

How often?

Several elements are taken into account to determine the frequency, such as the growth rate of the trees and their species. Their age is also important: for example, a tree that is at least 10 years old needs to be pruned every 2 years, while a tree that is at least 20 years old needs to be pruned every 10 years. Organize yourself accordingly!

With what?

The necessary equipment is as follows: a double ladder, protective gloves, pruning shears, branch cutters, a chainsaw, a pruning saw, healing putty, and a spatula. If you have this equipment at home, it’s perfect! If not, you should know that some companies like Location du Nord can offer this for rent.

In the end, pruning is not only essential but also mandatory to preserve your trees and avoid any danger. And taking care of it yourself is delicate, but quite possible!

Organic Landscaping Techniques

Organic Landscaping Techniques landscaper rochester mnOrganic Landscaping Techniques : many people are becoming more interested in using landscape tactics that do not harm the earth. In addition to being great for the environment, organic landscaping can also provide benefits for your wallet and for your health. One of the most alarming things to many people is the fact that some pesticides and fertilizers can harm their children. When you have children or grandchildren, it seems kind of a waste if they cannot play on the lawn because there is fertilizer all over it. Likewise, the improper use of pesticides, or sometimes even the proper use of these chemicals, can result in sickness. Another benefit of organic gardening can also be felt in the wallet. If you make use of the resources that you have at hand, you can actually save money with do-it-yourself organic landscaping, rather than paying money for chemicals to unnaturally enhance your plants.

One of the best ways to practice organic landscape is to make use of native plants. It is much easier to naturally promote the health of your landscape when the plants you use thrive in your area. Bringing in exotic plants or non-native plants from areas with very different conditions only results in frustration and the possible reliance on chemicals to help you take care of them. If you want to keep a landscape that works with the natural setting, native plants, or plants from areas with similar conditions, can help you accomplish this.

The lawn is most often the most visible part of a landscape. It seems as though many people thing it is necessary to use a lot of chemicals to keep pests from ruining the lawn or to help the lawn grow well. The truth, however, is that by actively caring for the soil in your lawn as well as the grass, you can create a healthier lawn. This can be done in a number of ways that do not involve chemicals that can be harmful to the environment and to your health.

One of these ways is the use of organic fertilizer, tells Chercher un Code Postal . There are compositions of fertilizer made entirely of organic materials. These fertilizers do cost more up front, but as they are used regularly reduce long-run costs. They decrease the need for chemicals that can become expensive (and if applied wrong can actually damage your lawn more than help it), and they do not need to be applied as often. So, the cost often evens out eventually, as you have to apply the synthetic fertilizer much more often.

Another way to take care of the lawn is to use practices that promote healthy soil and better grassroots. One of these practices is aeration. Aeration relieves soil compaction by punching holes in the ground. This helps by making the soil easier to go through. This means that the roots have more room to go deeper, and organisms, like earthworms, that actually help the health of your grass, have more room to move about and make their homes. This results in naturally healthy grass that withstands pests better and keeps weeds out on its own.

Topdressing and overseeding are other organic practices that improve the health of the lawn. Topdressing is the act of taking composted organic matter and mixing it half and half with sand. A thin layer is then spread over the lawn. This actually improves the lawn rooting, creating healthier, hardier grass, without fertilizer. Overseeding is a method that makes use of more than the recommended amount of grass seed — about one and a half times more than the recommended amount. Overseeding promotes quicker germination and results in a thicker lawn that fights weeds.

Fertilizer, organic or otherwise, is not even necessary if you practice common sense in using organic gardening techniques. You can even create your own compost and mulch by using grass clippings from the lawnmower and leftovers from the garden. Raked leaves and pine needles and weeds can also be used. By leaving them to decompose, you are creating nutrient-rich organic matter that can be used to, in turn, improve the health of all the plants in your landscape, not just grass. Organic gardening can be a very rewarding and money-saving effort when you do it yourself.

Adding a Water Feature to Your Yard

Adding a Water Feature to Your YardAdding a Water Feature to Your Yard : if you feel that your backyard is lacking a certain something, a water feature might be just the thing to bring new life to your outdoors. By following a few simple guidelines and understanding how your water feature lives and breathes, you can enjoy this natural work of art for as long as you own your home.

If you feel that your backyard is lacking a certain something, a water feature might be just the thing to bring new life to your outdoors. There are many different types of water features to consider, such as a pond or a waterfall. Flowing or still, water has a peaceful relaxing quality to it, and water features allow you to bring this natural beauty right into your own yard. You may be thinking that the care and upkeep of a water feature may not be worth the hassle, but they are much less labor-intensive as you may think. By following a few simple guidelines and understanding how your water feature lives and breathes, you can enjoy this natural work of art for as long as you own your home.

Water fountains are considerably easier to deal with than a water garden. Fountains must be regularly cleaned, but really require little upkeep. If you want a successful water garden you will probably need to invest a little more time, especially when you’re first trying to get it established. When creating a water garden, it is vital that you understand the relationships between the plants and animals coexisting in this environment. If you want your water garden to thrive, you’ll need to take special care to choose the right fauna and flora.

Many new pond owners have problems with algae, says Code Postal Lyon . If you don’t want to be cleaning out your pond every few weeks, adding a few fish can greatly help as can floating plants which help to reduce the amount of sunlight reaching the algae. Ensure you don’t have an excessive amount of chlorine in your water, especially if you have fish. You may want to install a pump and/or a filter along with regularly checking the pH level of water (should be between six and eight).

If you’re having your pond installed for you, ask the professionals for advice on getting started. If you are still unsure about where to start you can also buy one of several books which can guide you step-by-step through the process of creating your own water garden. Once your pond is established you will likely find the upkeep to be quite minimal.

Many people find that adding a water feature to their yard can literally transform their entire surroundings. Ponds, fountains, and waterfalls add a natural beauty and serenity to any outdoor area, no matter how small or modest.

Are Robotic Lawn Mowers Safe ?

Are Robotic Lawn Mowers Safe landscaping albuquerque
Orlando, FL./USA – 9/30/20: A Husqvarna autonomous lawnmower mowing near a lake in the Laureate Park

Are Robotic Lawn Mowers Safe ?  Robotic lawn mowers move relatively slow, people and animals can easily move out of the way. Although it takes a lot longer to mow if everyone used them there would be 72,000 fewer hospital visits this year.

You’re standing in your front yard minding your own business when a robot with three razor-sharp blades spinning at 5,800 rpm starts racing toward you. What do you do?

Is this some kind of nightmare? No, you’re awake and this is really happening, so once again, what do you do?

The answer is nothing. It will just bounce off you and go another direction. Rather anti-climatic ending wasn’t it? That is just the way the robotic lawn mower companies want it to be.

The greatest concern most people have about robotic lawn mowers is safety. ‘Bots with Blades’ just can’t be safe. According to Ames Tiedeman, National Sales Manager for Systems Trading Corp., the US distributor for the Friendly Robotics Robomower, over 72,000 emergency room visits involved lawn mowers in 2005. ZERO involved robotic lawnmowers.

These mowers have so many safety features and shut-off triggers that it is amazing that they are actually functional.

The Friendly Robotics Robomower turns the blades off at 16 degrees, not even high enough to get a hand under. Even if a small hand could get under, the blades are far back and recessed into a chamber in the body. It would take creativity, not stupidity, to get to the blades while they are still turning.

Unlike push and riding lawn mower safety devices, robotic lawn mower features are not easily disabled. The tilt detection devices are soldered on to the mainboards. Even the resistance against the blades and the ability of the software to stop them is measured in thousandths of seconds.

Since these robotic lawn mowers are designed to mulch there is no easy outlet for flying debris. Pebbles and pine cones do not get tossed very far and at low velocity.

Some robotic lawn mowers have sonar detection systems that if any moving objects get close they’ll slow down and at another point stop the blade before even being touched. All have some sort of touch sensors that when they lightly bump into a stationary object that they change direction. So actually getting run over is unlikely.

Another big concern is pets getting chopped to bits, again, no reported accidents involving robotic lawn mowers. Dogs have a tendency to chase and bark, but not attack. A dog actually chewing up a robotic lawn mower is more feasible than a robotic lawn mower chewing up a dog.

Robotic lawn mowers move relatively slow, people and animals can easily move out of the way, tells Vin Faugeres . Although it takes a lot longer to mow, if everyone used them there would be 72,000 fewer hospital visits this year.

This article was written to educate people that robotic mowers under intended circumstances are safe. There has been a great deal of thought and engineering involved to make robotic lawn mowers safe for public use.

Bringing Outdoor Space In For Three-Season Use

Bringing Outdoor Space In For Three-Season Use Landscaper ClevelandBringing Outdoor Space In For Three-Season Use : imagine a beautiful spring evening spent outside on your patio. Now picture how quickly a sudden shower can turn that idyllic image into a wet dash for cover. Or consider a summer afternoon picnic out on the deck. The sun and the scenery are great, but what about the bugs?

For many homeowners, patios and decks

are a terrific investment toward spending more time outdoors. But those home additions come with something unpredictable: the great outdoors itself, with all its natural wonders and hazards. But a new concept in construction is helping turn those exterior spaces into something more: all-purpose, three-season rooms that protect against the very things that could otherwise spoil a good time outside.

Porch systems enclose an existing or newly constructed patio

or deck using pre-engineered modular wall panels and joining posts. Wooden wall panels help protect against the cool air and damaging sun and are secured to the floor using a threshold. Channeled vertical posts join the wall panels together to create a visually appealing facade.

Carpenters and ambitious do-it-yourselfers can assemble Vixen Hill’s three-season or open rail porch systems with ease. The products’ modular design eliminates the complicated carpentry normally involved in this type of construction. Pre-assembled components (modules) are designed to require the minimum number of fasteners for an uncomplicated, systematic installation.

“Most outdoor space is designed for a specific purpose

and satisfies only one particular need,” says Christopher Peeples, president and founder of Vixen Hill. “The key benefit of our porch systems is that they have multiple uses. Add Some Magic With Garden Lighting

Add Some Magic With Garden Lighting Landscaping AustinAdd Some Magic With Garden Lighting : anyone who knows me well knows that there is no place I would rather be at the end of a long day than out in my garden enjoying a cup of tea. In the cool fall and spring months, I prefer a cup of hot peppermint tea in my garden, and in the heat of summer I apt for a cup of iced lemon tea. There is something magical about being in my backyard garden that I just cannot get enough of. I have read more books, journaled more pages, and shared more great conversations with my family in our garden than almost anywhere else. The atmosphere of my garden was recently made even more magical when we strung garden lighting throughout the entire thing, as says tutoriel freecad.

I have no idea why I hadn’t thought of using great garden lighting before,

but I was definitely open to the idea when my artistically driven teenage daughter suggested it as we sat on our back porch one night with teacups. She thought that garden lighting might do something special for the mood of the garden and that it might make us want to spend even more time there.

Before I knew it we had sat our tea cups down and were headed to a local gardening store to see what kinds of garden lighting we could find. We were amazed when we took time to look through the store at how many garden lighting options we had. We choose a few strings of tiny Chinese lanterns that we in bright teal and olive colors. We both loved them and knew that they would be the perfect garden lighting for our needs.

We rushed home and decided not to wait until morning to put the garden lighting up.

Instead, we went immediately to our backyard garden and began stringing the lights from tree to tree to tree. After checking to see that all of the bulbs worked, we decided not to let ourselves turn the garden lighting on until we had it all up and hanging in place. I’m so glad we waited because when we finally turned on our new garden lighting it was amazing. The small and colorful Chinese lanterns did a lot for the look and feel of our garden. The garden lighting only made it more inviting than it was before.

We gathered the rest of our family and brought them outside to see our work. They enjoyed the garden lighting as much as we did and within minutes we were making popcorn and had plans to enjoy the backyard garden together that evening. I love the way my garden lighting looks, but even more than that I love the way our garden has become a gathering place for the people I love most.

Carper Cleaning Carpet Cleaners

Carpet Repair

repair the carpet cleaning Bloomington ILCarpet Repair : how often you need to repair your carpet depends on you. There are instances such as burns, crushing, fading, furniture, bleeding, sprouting, and carpet beetles where you’ll want to take action. Most of the time, you can finish a repair job without needing a professional, although there will be times when you will need professional assistance.

Burns

Burns occur when a cigarette butt or flame comes in contact with the carpet. If the burn is small, the burnt fibers of the carpet can be cut out with scissors. If the burn is large, you’ll need to replace the area with a new piece of carpet. You can do this yourself if you know-how, or have an installer do it.

Fuzzing

This occurs when loose fibers come out on the edges of the carpet. To fix this, simply cut the fibers that are sticking out.

Furniture marks

Heavy furniture can result in indentations being left on the carpet. To get rid of these nasty marks, you should sprinkle your carpet with some club soda, place a towel over the area, then iron it. Do this a couple of times and you will see your carpet begin to re-fluff.

Shading, crushing, and matting

A lot of traffic on the surface of the carpet will cause it to flatten, which may give some types of carpet a shaded appearance. If this happens, you should brush and vacuum the area. If you can’t
fix the problem, you may need to hire a professional, as this can sometimes be very tricky.

Shedding and snagging

Shedding is a problem of usage, as the fibers will surface on the carpet. This isn’t a defect in manufacturing, but a normal problem. To fix it, you’ll need to vacuum the area. The snags on the other hand are tufts that have pulled out of the surface of the carpet. They will occur more often with loop pile than cut pile carpets. You should never pull them off, but instead cut them off neatly with a pair of scissors.

Sprouting

A carpet is known to have sprouts only when there are tufts on it, which are longer than the rest.
As pulling on them will only damage the carpet more, you should trim them off with scissors and level them down to the rest of the pile.

Static electricity

This depends on the carpet material, construction, and padding. Humidity will play an important role as the moisture in the air is absorbed by the carpet fibers. A humidifier will help to retain moisture, and you can also spray the surface of the carpet with an anti static agent.

Carpet beetles

The best way to deal with carpet beetles is with a strong vacuum suction. You should always avoid spillage and keep the surface of the carpet clean of food. The carpet beetles are quite annoying,
as they feed on wool, hair, hides, fur, grain, seeds, and flour. If the carpet is infested bad, your professional cleaner is the way to go.

Bleeding or crocking

Bleeding of the carpet is the loss or transfer of the color from one section to another. Good underlayments can help to prevent bleeding to a certain degree. Crocking on the other hand is the loss of the carpet’s color when it is rubbed.
To avoid this, simply avoid getting your carpet wet.

A carpet installation job that is one right can help you reduce your repair worries to quite an amazing degree. You can always call a pro as well, as their services will often end up being much cheaper than if you were to go ahead and replace the entire carpet.

Forum économique mondial Depopulation

forum economique mondial depopulationForum économique mondial Depopulation.
